CEO DATELINE - Vaping industry group seeks vapers as members

The Vapor Technology Association has opened its doors to individual members.
Consider joining CEO Update. Membership gives full access to the latest intelligence on association management, career advancement, compensation trends and networking events, as well as hundreds of listings for senior-level association jobs.
"This membership will elevate the voices of vapers and those individuals who believe in vaping and engage them in the fight with access to cutting-edge advocacy tools," the VTA said in a press release cited by the Vaping Post news site.
"Now more than ever, we must join together to ensure that vapor products remain available and accessible to all those who rely on them," the statement said. "This is vital for public health and safety."
Individual membership costs $25 a year, VTA says on its site. Previously, VTA represented only companies in the e-cigarette space. The association was founded in 2015.
VTA says individual membership will have advantages for the industry:
• Enhanced lobbying clout in Washington, D.C., and state capitals.
• Information sharing to bolster grassroots efforts.
• Participation in advocacy campaigns.
• Consumer engagement with the media.
Individual members can also access discounts on vaping products at participating stores.
